The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is on an exhilarating trajectory, expanding its reach and redefining the landscape of women's sports. With rapid expansion into new markets, the league is capturing the hearts and minds of fans across the nation, fueling record-breaking attendance figures and shattering viewership numbers. As a result, the NWSL is experiencing a surge in commercial interest and is expanding the Partnerships team.
Sr. Director, Business Development
Reporting to the SVP, Partnerships, this position is a highly collaborative sales leader with a focus on selling programs and platforms that drive unique activations and partner marketing campaigns, fueling revenue growth for our league.
Main Responsibilities:

Generate revenue by building platforms leveraging league intellectual property, signage, media and other assets
- Lead various cross functional commercial driven workstreams to identify new revenue opportunities across the NWSL ecosystem

Work closely across Partnerships, Marketing, Broadcast, PR, Sporting and Business Transformation to develop best in class marketing solutions for potential partners

Engage with senior-level marketing leaders at Fortune 500 companies in key open and strategic categories for the NWSL

Assist with maintaining weekly/monthly reporting documents for broader Partnerships team, senior leadership and Commercial Committee
- Assist with managing agency relationships (sales representation, research etc.) along with developing and managing partner events

Build and maintain relationships with sport marketing, advertising and media agencies, becoming a thought leader and resource within the soccer ecosystem and women's sports

Salary: Estimate $180k - 190k
NWSL: Salaries are contingent upon candidates' qualifications, functional business needs, and market financials
