Role: Nutritionist
Reports to: Heidi Nestler (Nutrition Coordinator) and Allie Haws (WISH Program Manager)
Employment: $25/hr, 36 hours a week, 0.8 Full-time, Hourly, Non-exempt
Schedule: Monday – Friday, flexible schedule with extended hours on Thursday evening for our Community Nutrition Night
Location: Quest Center – Multnomah & other Quest locations to meet program needs.
Travel: Some local travel is required to meet program needs.

We are looking for our newest Nutritionist at Quest Center for Integrative Health! Our Nutrition Program is a core part of our origins. The centerpiece of this program is our weekly Community Nutrition Night, were we welcome all our clients, staff, and guests to share a meal. In addition to Nutrition Night, we also teach, education, and share nutrition in all of our programs.
As our Nutritionist, you'll identify current trends and assess community needs, weaving them into an on-going curriculum directly aligned with Quest Center’s evidence-based, integrative model. You'll provide nutritional education, practical cooking skills, and other nutritional interventions for all Quest clients, including those with SUD & HIV diagnoses.
DAY TO DAY WORK:
- Help Nutrition Coordinator prepare, coordinate, and facilitate:
- Weekly nutrition nights, including clients with SUD diagnoses from all Quest Center’s programs
- Women of Wisdom (WOW), including women with SUD diagnoses
- Weekly cooking classes for all Quest clients, including those with SUD diagnoses
- HIV men’s group, nutrition activities.
- Deliver cooking program and education for FSR
- Design, implement diet, nutrition and preparation of classes specific to SUD recovery
- Maintain relationship with Whole Foods for our weekly donations and other partnerships
- Ensure social media engagement and presence of nutrition programs
- Coordinate food needs for Behavioral health retreats and activities
- Participate in new client orientation of wellness programs
- Test and teach recipes that are nutritious, easy to prepare, tasty and contain accessible healthy ingredients.
- Prepare and facilitate presentations that address client needs
- Act as supervisor for interns and volunteers; ensures they are knowledgeable in menu planning, food safety and time management; assigns tasks and ensures completion.
- Other duties, as assigned by WISH Program Manager and/or Nutrition Coordinator.
