Mill City Senior Living is seeking a Director of Culinary with a very customer focused attitude to grow with us. Responsibilities include scheduling of dietary team, managing and directing food prep and the execution of meals. Must comply with safety and cleanliness standards. We are a high end Senior living community with a major focus on setting the bar high with our food and service standards. We are seeking someone who has the same values and wants to deliver country club style service and quality consistently.
The successful candidate will work closely with management at all levels, help manage, motivate and inspire our kitchen team, and ensure our customers have a pleasant dining experience, with all plates properly cooked and served on time. Work schedule may include day, evenings and every other weekend.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of successful experience in a kitchen leadership role (Kitchen Manager, Supervisor, Sous Chef)
- Team player with excellent organizational skills Strong work ethic & reliable
- High volume kitchen experience
- Ability to help manage a team in fast-paced work environment
- ServSafe Certified
- Certified Food Protection Manager
- Solid knowledge of regulations concerning food handling, food storage, food preparation, safety and sanitation procedures
- Culinary training and/or Dietary Certifications required
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the food and beverage and dining services operations in the community.
- Oversight of procurement, preparation and service of the food
- Financial management of the department, supervising and training team members.
- Ensuring safe food handling and sanitation of food areas, inventory and rotation of products, accurate record keeping and regulatory compliance.
- You will create and maintain a high level of resident and family engagement, and practice your excellent communication and organizational skills by teaching, developing, and inspiring team members.
