Job Overview:
This position is responsible for maintaining plant equipment in best possible operating condition, making repairs, installing new equipment, and fabricating special tools and other items required by production. Candidate must be willing to work any assigned shift.
Responsibilities:
- Repairs/rebuilds all type of pumps (diaphragm, vacuum, centrifugal) fans and other mechanical equipment.
- Understanding of plumbing, air control, and hydraulic systems.
- Make layout cuts, fits, and all types (iron, CPVC, SS) of piping including valves of all types.
- Welding (arc, gas, TIG, Air arc, and plastic) brazing, soldering, cutting torch, plasma cutter.
- Fabricating with all materials (i.e., mild steel, stainless steel, plastic, fiberglass).
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures.
- Able to maintain forklifts, scissor lifts along with manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Involved in preventive maintenance program per equipment and requirements.
- Respond to requests for emergency call outs or overtime as required to maintain plant functions.
- Determine/requisition material and supplies applicable to assignments.
- Ensure all hand tools are in proper working order and all guarding is correctly adjusted.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years industrial maintenance experience.
- Trade certifications a plus.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.

Experience:
- Industrial maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)
