Overview:
The Director of Operations plays a pivotal role in optimizing our transportation operations. This leader will drive performance excellence, enhance driver retention, and minimize losses. Collaborating closely with the COO.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing dispatcher team responsible for real-time resource utilization.
- Set the bar for productivity by maximizing our workforce’s potential.
- Oversee all aspects of dispatch operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and route optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align dispatch strategies with overall business goals.
- Lead and inspire a team of dispatchers, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
- Provide guidance on prioritization, workload distribution, and performance improvement.
- Establish clear performance benchmarks to evaluate team progress.
- Continuously raise the bar for excellence through six sigma standards
- Analyze financial data to devise strategies for profit growth and superior customer service.
- Develop policies that optimize expenditures.
- Ensure thorough training for all team members.
- Champion professional growth within the team.
- Approve schedules and proactively address exceptions.
- Project a positive image of our organization.
Required Work experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong customer service experience.
- Experience managing a team
- 3+ years in a transpiration operations role
- Ability to resolve conflict.
- 5+ years’ experience in a customer leadership role.
- Experience managing a team.
- High ability to communication through verbal and written means.
- BA Degree in Business, or similar degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
