General Duties:
The general duties of Assistant Teachers shall include, but are not limited to the following:
- Participates in the preparation of a stimulating and culturally rich environment according to the true spirit of Montessori principles.
- Greets and interacts with all students, parents, and co-workers in a welcoming and positive manner.
- Maintains a classroom environment that is clean, safe, and nurturing for children.
- Assists with the emotional and physical care and well being of the children in the classroom, and on the playground.
- Manages classroom activities and behavior so that the Head Teacher may give lessons, and allows children who are concentrating to work without interruption.
- Interacts with children in a professional, positive, and safe manner.
- Assists in the making of materials, creation of lessons, and activities as requested by the Head Teacher.
- Supports the Head Teacher by presenting lessons to and leading activities with individual students or groups of students.
- Supports the Head Teacher by assisting in morning check in, afternoon pick up, attendance recording, and end of the day classroom clean up.
- Attends parent conferences and meetings, staff meetings, P.I.R days and fundraising events in a warm and professional manner.
- Remains confidential at all times.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Head Teacher or Head of School.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
