Position Summary:
The Assistant Club Manager (ACM) is a dynamic leadership role at Fitness Connection, directly supervising 5-20 hourly teammates in the Club Manager's absence. With responsibilities spanning member and guest satisfaction, sales generation through memberships and retail, expense control, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and leading the team toward excellence, the ACM is essential in operating the club productively and efficiently. Your Day to Day:
Leadership & Team Development Fostering a culture of growth, teamwork, and excellence.
- Supervise and support team members, stepping in for the Club Manager as needed.
- Work closely with Fitness Professionals to level up to Certified Fitness Professionals (CFP), enhancing their skills and service capabilities.
- Lead recruitment, training, and development efforts to build a strong, capable team.
- Encourage and model a team-oriented environment, promoting Fitness Connection's EPIC values.
Member Experience Ensuring every interaction is a step towards improving our members' health and happiness.
- Drive initiatives to boost member and guest satisfaction scores.
- Address and resolve feedback and concerns, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall member experience, ensuring Fitness Connection is more than just a gym but a community.
- Ensure the club environment is welcoming, clean, and safe for all members and staff.
Sales & Marketing Empowering the team to achieve and surpass sales goals.
- Drive sales of Memberships, Personal Training, and retail offerings in our Pro Shop, directly contributing to the club's revenue.
- Collaborate with ACMs and Fit Pros to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Stay informed on and leverage promotions to maximize member engagement and acquisition.
- Represent Fitness Connection within the community to foster connections and promote our mission.
Operations & Administration Maintaining the heartbeat of our club's operations.
- Assist in managing club budgets, scheduling, and inventory to ensure efficient operation.
- Oversee the reconciliation of bank logs, cash deposits, and inventory, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and standards, along with federal and state requirements.
- Ensure flexibility in work hours, including the ability to work unscheduled shifts with little to no notice.
What We’re Looking For:
- A leader with 1-2 years of management experience, preferably in the fitness industry.
- Strong recruitment, selection, training, and development skills.
- A high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and a superior sense of customer service.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including extended daily and weekly work hours, weekends, and shifts with little to no prior notification.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to handle stress on a physical, mental, and emotional level.
