Avalon Truck & Trailer Wash & Repair is in need of a Master Mechanic at our Hudson location. The shop is set up for sustainability and efficiency to help make your workload as easy as possible. The ideal candidate will do major diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs. This candidate will also help teach and train the other shop personal on the correct procedures to do repairs, accurately maintain inventory and records of repairs, and compliance with safety. This a great opportunity for someone that is looking for career advancement. Starting pay will be based on experience and certifications. We pay for the best and want the best. This is a Monday-Friday position.
The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining trailers, trailers and parts, and performing preventative maintenance on all equipment. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have strong mechanical aptitude, be able to problem-solve, follow instructions and maintain accurate records. The goal is to maintain our customers’ confidence in our ability to manufacture high quality trailers.
$30-$36/hour depending on tools, experience and certifications

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records
- Test and repair defective or broken parts by replacing or installing new defective or damaged parts with known good ones
- Provide preventative maintenance on all equipment including trailers, trucks, etc.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and repair or replace defective parts according to company standards
- Perform other related mechanical tasks
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies
Skills
- Proven experience as Diesel & Trailer Mechanic (3+ years) is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use basic electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Basic Computer & Tablet skills
- CDL
