Position Description:
The Supervisor is a highly qualified security guard trained to Blackstone specified client sites. Has full knowledge of the site and all post requirements. Works under the oversight of the Blackstone Operations team to ensure the mission of Blackstone Security is completed in a professional manner.
The Supervisor provides leadership and oversite of the guard force. The Supervisor assumes responsibility for the day to day operations of the shift assigned and all training responsibilities ensuring the required coverage is in place.
Primary Objective
The Supervisor is to always conduct him/herself in a professional manner with all client/employee concerns. Supervisor will make sure all assigned duties are completed as directed by post orders, client requests and Blackstone Operations. The Supervisor will review all completed Shift Reports to make sure the guards are logging all information on events that occurred during assigned shifts. The Supervisor will ensure all Officers meet Blackstone Security Dress and Grooming Standards. The Supervisor will give corrective actions for disciplinary actions only after ensuring such are within company guidelines and informing the Operations Team
The Supervisor is to be open and adapt to changes as directed by the client and/or Blackstone Operations.
Areas of Responsibility:
The Supervisor is responsible for:
- In the event a guard is late, calls off, or no show for any reason, the Supervisor will assist in getting the shift covered with a qualified guard.
- Assist in covering a post in extreme situations for call offs or in an emergency where more guards are needed.
- For any changes made to the scheduled shifts, a notification will be sent to Blackstone Operations of the changes by filling out the supervisor pass down.
- Meet Client/Client Representatives and act as liaison for Blackstone, reporting necessary information back to the Operations team as soon as possible.
- Conduct training of guard personnel as needed.
- Ensure all assigned personnel have received On the Job Training (OJT) for the post prior assignment.
- Continually evaluate and retrain guard personnel on site specific duties as well as Company Policies and Procedures.
- Determine if disciplinary actions are necessary and give formal write ups only after ensuring such are within company guidelines. All corrective actions will be sent to the Operations team for review as soon as possible.
- Provide immediate response to emergency situations, call offs, guard misconduct, client requests. Act as First Responder in case of an emergency.
- Professionally interact with Law Enforcement or other Emergency Services personnel in cases of incidents (i.e., Fire Dept. or EMS).
Job Requirements
- NV PILB Unarmed Security Guard License,
- Must maintain a clear criminal background and pass all random drug testing requirements.
- 36 month clean driving record.
- Experience in Microsoft Word/Microsoft Excel/Microsoft Office Outlook.
- Must meet all Blackstone Security Dress and Grooming Standards at all times.
- Needs to have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
- Ability to complete/train the proper way to fill out Shift Report to Blackstone and client standards. Making sure to log all patrols, events, incidents, etc. that occurred during assigned shift.
- Must follow chain of command when reporting issues and incidents.
- Must complete site specific training as directed/scheduled by Blackstone Operations and/or Client.
- Conducts themselves in a professional manner when interfacing with clients, public and Blackstone employees.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
