Description
We are looking for a dynamic property manager to manage a small portfolio of Lewiston Housing's properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the sites, including resident relations, rent calculations and collection, lease enforcement, and identifying maintenance needs. The property manager works closely with a resident service coordinator and maintenance technicians to meet the needs of residents.
A high level of organization and customer service skills is required. We are looking for a problem solver who must be prepared to think on their feet, adapt, and find solutions to issues as they arise.
Duties and Job Responsibilities
- Manage apartment turnovers expediently, minimizing downtime.
- Orient new residents to the property.
- Enforce lease provisions, occupancy policies, and procedures.
- Promote resident satisfaction and retention by responding to complaints, questions, and requests promptly and taking appropriate action to resolve and address issues.
- Work closely with maintenance employees to ensure the timely completion of building maintenance.
- Inspect apartments at move-in, at least annually, and move out.
- Maintain up-to-date records on inspections and tenancies.
- Maintain quality relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Routinely inspect properties for quality control and recommend improvements to supervisor.
- Ensure that all rent calculations and recertifications are completed accurately and on time.
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
- Proven work experience in affordable housing or market rate housing preferred
- Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software
- Customer focus and experience working with marginalized populations
- Interpersonal savvy with strong communication skills
- Well organized and excellent time management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
