Summary/Objective - The Receiving Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of incoming shipments within the warehouse. This role involves verifying and logging received goods into ERP database and Microsoft office spread sheets, ensuring they meet quality standards, and properly storing items in designated locations. Works in collaboration with the procurement and inventory manager to enhance existing processes, devise innovative strategies for optimizing inventory control efficiency, and actively solicits feedback to drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Receiving Warehouse Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and enhancing the overall efficiency of logistics operations.

1. Receiving & inspecting shipments
Unload and unpack incoming shipments
Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists
Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies or defects
2. Documentation and record keeping
Record and update received goods into the warehouse management system (M1) and Excel Spreadsheets
Maintain accurate and organized records of all incoming shipments
Prepare and submit receiving reports, to relevant departments as requested/needed
Label and store received items in appropriate locations throughout the warehouse
Ensure proper organization and cleanliness of the receiving area
Assist with regular inventory counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
3. Collaboration and communication
Coordinate with the procurement, quality control and departments to resolve any issues related to incoming shipments
Communicate effectively with suppliers and carriers regarding shipment statuses and discrepancies
Provide support to other warehouse/manufacturing functions as needed
4. Compliance and safety
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements related to receiving and handling goods
Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently
Skills & Qualifications
1. Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role (Required)
2. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills (Required)
3. Intermediate computer skills (ERP program knowledge, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook a plus) - (Required)
4. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects (25-100 pounds).
5. Effective communication and collaboration skills
6. Forklift certified (Preferred)

Work Environment -This job operates in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures. This is a physically demanding role with frequent lifting, bending and standing within a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
