Position Overview
The Private Cloud Infrastructure team is seeking a skilled Senior NetApp Technical Consultant to join our dynamic team. As a Senior NetApp Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing NetApp storage solutions to meet the needs of our customers. Your primary focus will be on deploying, configuring, upgrading and optimizing NetApp storage systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
Job Function & Responsibilities

Designing and deploying NetApp storage solutions based on client requirements and industry best practices.

Installing, configuring, and testing NetApp hardware and software components.

Deploying and managing storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.

Configuring and optimizing SAN Fabric infrastructure, utilizing technologies such as Cisco MDS or Brocade, to provide reliable, scalable and high-performance connectivity.

Performing capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of NetApp storage systems.

Implementing data protection and disaster recovery solutions using NetApp SnapMirror, SnapVault, MetroCluster and other technologies.

Facilitating block and file migrations between NetApp clusters, including switched cluster and non-switched cluster migrations, while ensuring minimal downtime and avoiding data loss.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate NetApp storage solutions into existing IT environments.

Providing technical guidance and support to clients and internal stakeholders.

Documenting configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Staying up to date with the latest NetApp technologies and certifications to ensure expertise in the field.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
-
Proven experience as a NetApp Deployment Engineer or similar role.

Strong knowledge of NetApp storage systems, including FAS series, AFF series, and ONTAP 7-mode and cDOT software.

Proficiency in configuring and managing storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.

Hands-on experience with data protection and disaster recovery technologies, including SnapMirror and SnapVault.

Experience in facilitating migrations between NetApp clusters, including switched cluster and non-switched cluster migrations.

Familiarity with SAN Fabric technologies such as Cisco MDS or Brocade, and their configuration for storage connectivity.

Experience with data migration tools such as Dobi, Robocopy, and Cirrus Data Systems is helpful.

Experience with storage vendors such as Pure Storage, Dell EMC, and others is beneficial.

Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V is helpful.

Exposure to Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge MX and other server technologies is beneficial.

Superior troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve storage-related issues.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

NetApp certifications such as NCDA (NetApp Certified Data Administrator) or NCIE (NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer) are preferred.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
