· Assisting physician(s) with endoscopies as needed.
· Assist with pre-op, intra-op and post-op as needed including conscious sedation.
· Start patient IV’s.
· Perform daily narcotic pharmacy inventory, secure crash cart.
· Provide patient pre-op instructions and nursing interventions as needed.
· Receive patient reports form CRNA post-procedure.
· Monitor vital signs per protocol in recovery area.
· Provide patient education/discharge teaching information.
· Maintain accurate post-op records.
· Schedule follow-up appointments, procedures, labs, etc.
· Review center charts for accuracy and completeness.
· Identify and call back at-risk patients within 24 hours or on Monday morning after Friday procedure.
· Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
· Answer, via telephone, patient, physician, nursing or pharmacy questions.
· Call in pharmacy refill medications as ordered by physicians.
· Attend necessary ins-services and continuing education programs to meet requirements of position.
· Assist with general office duties, including answering telephone as needed.
· Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
