Administrative Assistant - Logistics
New Bern, NC / Full-time
Your responsibilities
Provides administrative support to Regional Management and coordinates department activities and special projects
- Provides Retail Management continuous professional support to include internal and external communications, written correspondence, e-mails, phones and general administrative duties.
- Special projects/presentations, confidential binders, files, etc. are created, maintained, organized and kept current.
- Coordinates and maintains Master calendar for management team in a logical format. Coordinates meeting requests from other departments and Sales. Assists with arranging business meetings, lunches, etc.
- Makes travel arrangements as needed for retail management.
- Assists in the processing and review of business expense reports for retail management.
- Opens, reads, sorts and determines action required, if any, on correspondence addressed to retail management with proper follow-up.
- Answers phones and screen calls, handles most of them with minimal direction and relays messages with timeliness to appropriate parties and initiates calls as necessary.
- Operates personal computer for miscellaneous jobs, i.e., letters, memos, presentations, charts and graphs. Maintains logical files for easy reference.
- Processes purchase order requisitions and maintain necessary office supplies for retail management.
- Processes monthly sales data from NE buying groups for commission purposes.(EAST Region only)
- Analytic review of all reports-details supplied to Director for consideration
- Extract, and draw conclusions from data collected in Data Warehouse & SAP
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Your profile
- High-School Diploma – Required
- Associate degree – Preferred
- 3-5 Years of Experience (Administrative Assistant) – Required
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and good telephone etiquette.
- Ability to prioritize work in a highly organized manner.
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations effectively and respond promptly to internal/external customer needs.
- Strong business acumen and reasoning ability.
- Good interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work on various projects simultaneously and meet required deadlines.
- Demonstrates sense of urgency towards meeting requirements of tasks.
- Utilizes time efficiently and meets challenges with resourcefulness.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment and integrates changes smoothly with minimal interruption to work flow.
- Works and interacts with understanding, alignment and commitment and follows through on commitments and agreements.
- Contributes to building a positive team spirit, displays courtesy and sensitivity toward the needs of others.
- Continuously strives to build knowledge and skills required to support the needs of the business.
- Normal office equipment; e.g., computer, copier, fax machine, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work with SAP, Business Warehouse and other BSH key information systems
- Experience in developing and maintaining efficient office filing systems.
Your Pay & Benefits
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
