NON-CERTIFIED ENGAGMENT SPECIALIST
Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is participating in the LEAP program to address and improve students' attendance through personal connection at our schools and in turn improve student outcomes. The ACES Non-Certified LEAP Engagement Specialists will complete LEAP 101 training, make phone calls to identified students/families, provide resources, conduct home visits or community visits (always in groups of two) and max of 2 hours per visit total, document visits in the electronic Home Visitor Log, and meet bi-weekly with their School LEAP Coordinator; with the intent of building healthy relationships with the student and families to improve attendance, removal of barriers that prevent the student from attending school or succeeding in school in general. The project will track contact made with each student and their family and its success. It will also monitor the districts chronic absenteeism data for improvements. This position is year round and compensation is $28/hour
