The anticipated salary range for this role is between $142,000.00 and $196,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
SMBC Capital Markets, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager within its CM Nikko IT Project Management Office Team.
In this role, the Project Manager will work in a fast-paced environment and work closely with, Developers, DevOps, Infrastructure and Business to upgrade, test and rollout technology components for critical Business Applications as well as participate in evaluation and implementation of new applications, tools, and technologies.
- Project Manage multiple strategic projects concurrently
- Drive project working group meetings. Create clear and concise status summaries with action items
- Facilitate communications with the application owners, project sponsors, and other stakeholders
- Creation of Executive Level dashboards and metrics for reporting
- Documenting Project scope and obtaining sponsor approvals
- Create and manage project plans. Track and escalate risks and issues
- Conducting work sessions with IT and Business to document requirements
- Work with IT Development and Infrastructure teams to design & build solutions
- Document QA test plans and execute test cases
- Work with IT and Business to document UAT test plans/cases. Manage UAT and assist in testing. Track defects & resolutions
- Work with IT and Business to document Production Implementation & validation plans
- 10+ years of experience as a PM preferably in the Financial Industry
- Experience managing the entire SDLC beginning to end for business applications and the required project artifacts (project plans, requirements, test plans, etc)
- Experience with working on a variety of project types (e.g., in-house developed applications, vendor implementations, business only, Infrastructure only)
- Strong skills working with MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Teams, & MS SharePoint. JIRA experience is a plus
- Strong communication/presentation skills (written and oral) in cross-cultural business environment
- Strong work ethic with focus on meeting deadlines and objectives
- Must be highly energetic, detail-orientated, and extremely proactive, and be able to perform under pressure in a challenging environment
- Experience with AWS and Azure Cloud architecture is a plus
- PMP certification is a plus
- Bachelor's degree. Computer Science or Information Systems preferred. Advanced degree is a plus
