Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Furniture Installation Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of furniture installation projects within commercial spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of furniture installation processes. The Commercial Furniture Installation Manager will be responsible for coordinating with installation teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Most of our projects begin at 8am or earlier and sometimes 6pm or later or, rarely, on weekend mornings, so a flexible schedule is a must for all applicants. Our projects are mostly located in, but not limited to, Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia so the applicant must have a functioning vehicle at all times. The Forum will reimburse milage and fuel up to 0.67 cents/mile provided expenses are documented appropriately as determined by The Forum.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan, organize, and oversee commercial furniture installation projects from start to finish.
2. Coordinate with sales and design teams to understand project requirements and expectations.
3. Develop and communicate installation schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
4. Supervise installation teams and provide guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements, review installation progress, and address any issues or concerns.
6. Ensure that all installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
7. Manage inventory of furniture and installation materials, ensuring adequate supply for projects.
10. Communicate regularly with sales and design teams to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
11. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the installation process in a timely and professional manner.
12. Conduct post-installation inspections to ensure customer satisfaction and address any deficiencies or issues.
Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
2. Proven experience in commercial furniture installation or related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire installation teams.
4. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
5. This position requires the applicant to have a functional vehicle at all times. The Forum will reimburse the candidate at the current 2024 IRS reimbursement rate of 0.67 cents / mile. These supplemental payments are contingent on submitting expense reports according to The Forum's standards.
6. Knowledge of commercial furniture products, installation techniques, and industry standards.
7. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges.
9. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
10. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
11. Fluency in the English language is a must. Fluency in the Spanish language is not required but will be considered favorably when reviewing applicants.
