Kim Controls, located in Blaine, MN is a full-service automation solutions provider engaging in the sales of automation products, application engineering, and manufacturing of custom electrical panels for industrial control systems.
We are actively seeking an experienced sales & business development manager to lead all sales activities and sales channels of the Company. This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial focused engineering sales and/or business development manager to lead a stable, profitable small business, and be a vested driving force for it’s continued growth into the future.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily sales and business development operations.
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the Company's customer base and ensures its strong presence and reputation.
- Lead the product distribution efforts of Kim Controls. Drive product sales growth through new and existing customers, and optimization of sales channels including internal sales, online sales, and direct business to business sales serving primarily OEM customers.
- Maintain positive relationships with all vendors to ensure that Kim Controls is competitive in every aspect of the automation control distribution business.
- Take lead responsibility for engineering challenges presented to Kim Controls from customers. Guide the engineering team to develop solutions to resolve engineering issues, suggest product and application solutions. Investigate and recommend new/alternative applications and products to improve solution options for customers and OEM’s.
- Oversee the manufacturing activities of the systems integration division (Custom Panel builds) to satisfy customer needs and meet Company goals. Ensure profitability of quoted projects, manage staff, oversee overall quality of projects produced and delivered to customers.
- Meet or Exceed P&L goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years experience in automation or motion controls sales and application engineering.
- Minimum 10 years experience in B2B sales.
- Minimum 10 years management experience, including leading projects, budget management, and developing staff.
- Bachelor’s degree – Electrical Engineering (Preferred) or equivalent engineering and application experience.

Reporting: This position reports to the President of Kim Controls.
Work Location: In-Person. No option for remote or hybrid work arrangements.
