Project Supervisor - RNG Commissioning Engineer

This opportunity supports a Client’s Dairy Renewable Natural Gas Construction Program, with oversight responsibilities from the time that unit operations are mechanically completed until the performance test proves the design capacity of the gas cleaning systems.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Commissioning Program Manager, the Commissioning Engineer is responsible for providing mechanical oversight to the commissioning process, aiding troubleshooting of operating issues, suggesting design improvements, identifying common points of failure, and aiding the setup of a preventative maintenance program. This engineer will champion safe and environmentally responsible work practices.
Location:
On-Site work within the United States. The individual must have appropriate authorization to work in the United States. Ability to travel to job sites in rural locations across Western states and stay on-site until the project is completed.
Key responsibilities:
- Works with Construction, Engineering, EH&S, and Operations to provide open communications and goal obtainment.
- Participate in weekly update calls.
- Identifies risks and opportunities associated with Design, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, and Scheduling.
- Monitors and reports any concerns with safety or environmental regulatory compliance.
- Monitors daily and weekly reports for assigned site. Provides a commissioning status update weekly for that site.

Education, experience, and necessary skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design, maintenance, or reliability roles.
- Industrial experience with RNG, Oil & Gas, Chemical Facilities, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to secure alignment and influence without authority.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills.
Travel Requirements
- Able to travel (domestic) to RNG locations in various states. Once assigned a project, engineer would be working on that site until it is substantially completed.
Additional Requirements
· Must pass DOT drug and background checks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
