Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s of Business Administration; Concentration in Accounting
- 5 years of relevant Accounting experience
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
- Interprets financial data found on balance sheet, P&L, and other financial report
- Audit payroll, tax accounts, and other liabilities for balance sheet accuracy
- Quick Books cleanup for 40+ accounts (GL accounts description & unity, due to/from accuracy)
- Software includes MS Office, Excel (Advanced), and QuickBooks (Online/ Desktop - Expertise)
- Conduct account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries and month-end close processes
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper recording of transactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial management and reporting
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and processes
- Provide support for audits and compliance with securities law
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of private equity accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet reconciliation
- Experience with financial management systems such as Quick Books & Sage
- Familiarity with PR tax law and regulations is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment
