The Assistant Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services is responsible for the clinical and administrative daily management of the SSTAR outpatient services including the triage center.

Duties & Responsibilities
-
Functions as a liaison ensuring cooperation and effective interdepartmental, outpatient behavioral health, Detox, Intensive Outpatient, and methadone programs.

Manages the flow through the triage center ensuring that standards for care are met.

Interviews, orients, coaches/supervisors, schedules, retains personnel.

Completes performance reviews timely.

Maintains accurate documentation on staff supervision.

Ensures chart integrity, including timely and accurate documentation.

Provides supervision, consultation and peer review as appropriate.

Participates in Committee membership as appointed by Administration.

Consults with Finance on budget preparation and monthly review of expense vs budget evaluation.

Responds to crisis situations as needed.

Responsible for supervision of outpatient behavioral health clinical staff.

Develop and distribute scheduling of clinical staff.

Monitor clinical productivity of staff.

Provide direct services to clients presenting in the OTC, for triage including intakes, groups, and other clinical services as needed.

Perform chart audits and ensure quality measures are being met.

Attends community and Association for Behavioral Health meetings to represent the triage center and other SSTAR programs.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience and Skills:
Education & Experience
-
Master’s Degree with Independent Licensure (LICSW, or LMHC). LADC1 with mental health treatment experience will be considered.

Clinical supervisory experience and program management background preferred
-
Ability to provide mentorship and to provide constructive counseling when appropriate.

Previous experience in addiction and co-occurring treatment preferred

Ability to function effectively as a team leader.

Demonstrated evidence of ability to work independently and collaboratively required.

Strong communication skills required - both written and verbal.

Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Available to respond by phone or in person after business hours.
