Job Title: Wellness Manager
Reports To: Wellness Director
Summary:
The Wellness Manager directly supports the Wellness Director in ensuring the delivery of
quality assisted living services focused on maximizing residents’ individual capabilities,
implementing and monitoring effective Assisted Living systems, ensuring clinical/health
services are in compliance with Galerie Management standards and State regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Organizes, develops, and assists in directing the overall operation of the clinical
department within the community in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, and
Galerie Management regulations and standards
- Conducts comprehensive resident pre-admission, admission, and quarterly
assessments of residents
- Supports the Wellness Director with any change of condition of any residents including
tracking incident reporting.
- Communicates regularly with families through care plan meetings, emails, and phones
calls
- Acts as a resource with the community and meets the families social and emotional
needs while encouraging family involvement in resident care
- Collaborates with Wellness Director and Wellness Assistant in monitoring associate
hours worked and staffing patterns to assure the maximization of variable staffing and
reduce overtime hours
- Assists in hiring, training, and supervision with all clinical associates
- Oversees the schedule for clinical associates and is on call as needed

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience and a minimum of 2 years of people
leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
preferred.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required
Knowledge and Skills:
- Exhibit good time management and organization skills.
- Possess the ability to handle complex issues.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Express compassion for residents, staff and guests on a consistent basis.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
such action.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing administration practices and procedures as well
as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing administration functions in
an assisted living community.
- Must have the ability to implement and interpret the program
