RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Project Manager in San Jose, CA. This is a full-time, direct-hire, hybrid position with our client.
Overview of YOUR role as a Project Manager:
As a Project Manager you will be tasked with the overall management of a number of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. We're looking for people who can function as a role model and ambassador for our client, articulating and representing the brand, vision and value proposition internally and externally.
As a Project Manager YOU will be:
- Providing administrative and technical management over several water, stormwater and wastewater projects.
- Establishing and periodically reviewing time-and-hour budgets and meeting those budgets on the projects.
- Periodically reviewing project schedules and progress on the projects.
- Defining and summarizing more difficult problems and methods of approach for other engineers.
- Supervising and coordinating several varied assignments simultaneously.
- Identifying new business opportunities with existing clients and pursuing and winning opportunities with new clients. In each case, taking a leadership role in the pursuit process.
- Maintaining continued relationship with clients after each project is finished to increase our opportunities for future work.
- Performing non-routine and complex assignments in support of corporate commercial and management goals.
- Applying diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles to meet project objectives.
- Calculating estimated costs to estimate the commercial aspects of a project.
YOU are the ideal Project Manager candidate if you have:
- B.S. Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering is required. An M.S. in Engineering Degree is desired.
- 15-30 years’ experience in water engineering
- Experience with large public and/or private water and wastewater utilities in the US.
- They will have experience in planning, design and management of water related projects.
- They are comfortable mentoring less experienced engineers.
- They have a Professional Engineering (PE) license in the State of California or can obtain a license within one-year (required).
- Having and obtaining a Professional Engineering license in other states is desirable.
- A successful candidate will be an initiative-taker with the ability to lead and manage people and projects
- They will have an in-depth understanding of public and private utility budgeting and accounting.
- They understand the commercial approach to delivering projects and can implement it successfully on both large and small projects
- They are skilled in technical writing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $155,000.00 - $188,000.00 per year
