The primary responsibility of the towing dispatcher is managing our fleet resources to meet or exceed customer expectations and to optimize productivity. The dispatcher is responsible for being aware of the current and pending calls, providing accurate etas to the call takers, tracking driver locations, determining the appropriate operator for the service, and assigning calls efficiently.
The dispatcher uses a desktop computer, CAD dispatch software, GPS and map software, a multi-line phone, cell phone and other hardware as required. They are expected to check emails, review written and verbal training materials, and remain available to take calls throughout their shift.
