- Primarily responsible for monitoring Nutrition sites to ensure compliance with service standards of the Federal Older Americans Act and Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging
- Reviews client statistical data to increase participation and utilization in relation to identified funding sources and departmental goals
- Conducts presentations to community groups and to individuals about senior nutrition programs. Represents the Agency at various functions including health fairs, service fairs, stakeholder meetings, residences events, village and township meetings. Provides outreach information as needed
- Works with the Volunteer Coordinator by ensuring that an adequate number of individuals and corporate volunteer teams are available to meet the needs of the program
- Responsible for and/or makes recommendations for hiring, discipline, and performance evaluation of staff. Responsible for coaching, supervising, training, and the professional development of staff. Responsible for assigning work to staff and ensuring the work is performed in an efficient, prompt, professional and accurate manner and
provides guidance, when necessary
- Completes all required documentation in accordance with agency and programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing, or accrediting bodies
- Compiles data as requested for the completion of federal and non-federal grants
- Accompanies staff to client's homes and or community partner events to provide extra support and supervision as needed and for staff/volunteer training purposes
- Works evenings and weekends as needed to meet the program needs

Relevant Education:
Preferred: Associate's Degree
Minimum: High School
Relevant Experience:
Preferred: 2 Years of Nutrition Program Experience and Supervisory Experience
Minimum: 1 Year in the Nutrition Program Experience
Certification/Licensure:
Preferred: State of Illinois Food Sanitation Certificate
Minimum: Obtain State of Illinois Food Sanitation Certificate within Six Months of Hires
