Title: Power Performance Engineer
Multiple Location: Redmond, Austin, Portland and Mountainview, CA
Job Summary:
The Platform Power Efficiency Engineer will be responsible for optimizing the power consumption of our platforms. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement power-saving features and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of power efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
·Develop and implement power management strategies to improve platform power efficiency.
· Conduct power consumption analysis and performance testing to identify power inefficiencies.
· Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to optimize power usage across the full stack.
· Conduct power-profiling and benchmarking to identify areas of improvement.
· Design and execute power validation tests to ensure effectiveness of power management strategies.
· Provide technical guidance and support for power-related issues during product development.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Proven experience in power management or a similar role within the industry.
· Strong understanding of power efficiency metrics and benchmarking.
· Familiarity with power analysis tools and methodologies.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with embedded systems and low-power design.
· Knowledge of power-efficient hardware architectures and components.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, C++, or Shell for automation purposes.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
