**JOB OVERVIEW**
We are seeking a skilled Service Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform management duties of a fleet operation, including supervisory and technical work in vehicles and equipment.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
· Implement and monitor a preventative maintenance program to assure cost effective maintenance and a scheduled maintenance program to provide maintenance by manufacturer specifications.
· Monitor user departments by analysis of coaches and equipment utilization and evaluation of equipment specifications.
· Oversee mechanic training and certification program to provide needed technical skills for mechanics.
· Supervise all Fleet Services employees.
· Assist in budget development and expense projections for the shop and support areas.
· Responsible for the cleanliness of the maintenance facility to create a safe and clean workplace.
· Examine reports for accuracy on each coach and piece of equipment repaired; work closely with the service writer on work to be performed and completion of work orders.
· Responsible for maintenance and repair records.
· Oversee all OSHA related compliance matters, as relates to the shop.
**REQUIREMENTS**
· 4+ years experience in a service management role in a heavy diesel application
· Previous work as a diesel mechanic a plus.
· A valid Commercial Driver’s License is not required, but a plus.
· Knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacement.
· Knowledge of an automated Fleet Management Information System.
· Considerable knowledge of safety practices and techniques in mechanics; considerable knowledge of diesel mechanics.
· Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of employees engaged in repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
· Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with accuracy and speed.
· Ability to coordinate programs, prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
