How would you contribute?
The Lead Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to production teams and machinery in support of operational and production goals; providing on the job training, support to front line production leadership and leading assigned production teams.
Essential Duties:
- Lead multiple work areas ensuring safe working conditions, quality product, and maximize production output.
- Train, audit, validate and carry out expectations of area production front line leadership for personnel management, equipment, resources, while maintaining compliance to policies and procedures.
- Interface and collaborate with production and support functions to resolve operational and personnel conflicts to mitigate and manage impacts to production goals during operating shifts.
- Allocate labor resources effectively to meet customer and company demands to reduce costs while maintaining output efficiency.
- Coordinate production startups, shutdowns and changeovers while optimizing efficiency.
- Facilitate resolution of operational, manufacturing and maintenance issues to prevent operational delays.
- Develop and promote continuous improvement initiatives for production goals and objectives.
- Clearly communicate with support department and assigned teams while setting expectations and providing accountability to expectations for assigned team members, provide management leadership in accordance with company expectations.
- Effectively audit, communicate and implement company policies, standards of conduct, safety and quality standards.
- Responsible for the daily supervision of personnel in assigned production areas.
· Uphold and support organizational goals and views.
· Perform various team duties as needed to meet production demands.
· Maintain proper housekeeping throughout all areas and keeps work areas in exemplary food grade standards.
· Follow all safety processes and procedures.
· Demonstrate commitment to following all processes and procedures.
· Attend work regularly as scheduled.
· Responsible for reporting food safety problems to management.
· Other duties and audits as assigned.
Do you have what it takes?
- Minimum of five (5) years of related supervisory/managerial experience in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
- Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of experience and education is preferred.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Passing of the Munsel Hue Color Assessment.
- Capability to solve complex problems, utilizing strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Superior organizational skills and the ability to assemble resources needed to orchestrate multiple projects/activities and accomplish goals
- Model a collaborative leadership style with the ability to build partnerships and influence others into action
- Demonstrated ability to communicate information effectively in a training capacity utilizing adult learning principles
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and consultative approach; tactful in dealing with people at all levels

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead assigned teams through daily operational tasks and success measures. Engage in training, coaching, mentoring, influencing and oversight of assigned work groups. Using servant leadership principles, model the company core values as they pertain to established policies, procedures and state law.
