SUMMARY
The Corporate Controller is responsible for oversight of the financial close and reporting functions in accordance with US GAAP. The Corporate Controller will provide leadership and direction to the Corporate Accounting Team, including defining and articulating the highest standards of service delivery to all customers and stakeholders to the function.
The position will have significant interaction with Operations Management and Ownership.

This role, responsible for driving the accounting and financial reporting of the Company, will create headroom / capacity within the team enabling said demands to be addressed in an effective and efficient manner and in parallel ensure key stakeholder demands are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

- Oversee the monthly close and consolidation process, including full balance sheet reconciliations.
- Research technical accounting issues under US GAAP.
- Oversee the planning and the recording of significant transactions.
- Oversight in resolving accounting issues and setting accounting standards, departmental policy and procedure.
- Oversee the G&A expense monitoring and budgeting.
- Oversee and act as primary liaison for any external audits.
- Assist in the review and implementation of effective systems and internal control procedures – particularly cash flow and cash flow forecasting.
- Performs work in a safe manner and actively encourages others to do the same.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with minimum of 5 in a managerial role.
- Construction industry experience preferred. Russell ERP platform is CMIC – exposure to this application would be a plus.
- Certifications: CPA, CGMA or CMA required.

- Familiarity with Project Accounting preferred.
