- Implement all Program Polices as outline in the P&P Manual.
- Ensure all program activities are in accordance with the agency and program’s mission and values.
- Recruit young parents to participate in the program.
- Responsible for intake and assessment of young parents including the development of Individual Service Plan (ISPs) with mentees and matching with mentors.
- Maintain accurate and current record keeping including parenting assessments, program forms, case narratives, immunization records, mentor-mentee match agreements, and ongoing contacts with youth.
- Facilitate formal training with mentors and young parents. Responsible for overseeing that proper screening procedures are utilized in assessing for appropriate mentors.
- Responsible for planning and scheduling young parent support group meetings and mentor support group meetings. Support groups shall have a training topic/discussion activity planned.
- Coordinate youth’s participation in Parenting Classes.
- Coordinate and partner with other community mentoring programs to share in recruitment, training, program development, publicity, and public awareness activities.
- Assist in planning of events held annually with MMP staff.
- Learn the basic information of the New Madrid County Human Resources Council Community Partnership and its role.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator
