We are looking for an experience Machine Shop Foreman / Manager.
We are a growing employee-owned multi location industrial service provider.
At Marshall Industrial Technologies we strive to provide superior welding, fabricating, MACHINING, mechanical, installation, HVAC, and electrical need throughout the Lehigh Valley, surrounding PA and NJ counties. We are looking for experienced welders and millwrights to join our team and expand our business.
The right candidate will have at least 5 years of manual machining and fabrication management experience, have a positive attitude, and a will to learn and carry our various daily jobs activities as needed.
Our goal is to be the first call when there is a need for industrial work, as we strive to be the #1 single-source solution for equipment installation, machinery repair, electrical work, and plant maintenance needs.

Job Information
Purpose: Monitor the quality, safety, and provide planning and direction directly to the assigned crew of craftsmen and ironworkers for activities for projects.
Work Schedule: Varies by location. Must have open availability any time any day of the week.
Essential Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities: (may include but are not limited to the ability to)
- Manage your time and your subordinate’s time effectively. Monitor attendance and tardiness on a daily basis, including your own. No more than one unexcused absence per year and miss no more than 4 days per year.
- Understanding and ability to perform the tasks of your assigned crew.
- Complete and turn in all required paperwork correctly on a weekly basis.
- Order all necessary materials for a job. Ensure all material is checked in correctly. Turn in all receiving papers with purchase orders.
- Review and evaluate employees under your command.
- Ensure you have all the tools needed ahead of time. Protect and maintain all tools signed to you. No more than one broken or stolen tool per year. Inventory all tools once per year.
- Fill out safety toolbox talks correctly and return them on a weekly basis. No more than zero missing per year.
- Coordinate work with other trades. Layout work ahead of time. Know and understand project cuts and submittals. Attend all job site inspections.
- Maintain Safety and P.P.E. for yourself and crew. No more than zero safety violations or accidents. Complete one safety audit per month.
- Follow up on loose ends and punch lists. Complete panel schedules and as-built drawings. No more than three items on a punch list. Work should be high quality. Little or no rework required.
- Attend training and continuing education classes. Minimum of 8 hours per year.
- Don’t lie to your boss or crew. Take breaks and lunch at appointed times. Use written correspondence to communicate. Maintain excellent customer relations. No more than one written complaint per year.
- Maintain a clean workplace. Complete a housekeeping inspection once per month.
- Know project scope of work and document and changes to the scope.
- Maintain morale of work crew. Show patience with crew and help train them.

- Pipe threading machine
- Burning Torch
- Grinder
- Port-a-Band
- Chain Fall
- Hand Tools
- Must have a valid license and able to operate the following:
- Company trucks (DOT)
- fork truck
- High-reach equipment up to 45 feet
- Able to work off of elevated platforms (i.e. scaffolding, high-reach equipment, elevated pipe-racks
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (other preferences will be given for special language skills where there is a business need)
- Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors, and craft employees.
- Possess excellent leadership skills and have the ability to effectively manage craft employees.
Physical Requirements:
- The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to assemble, connect, weld, or attach parts. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds properly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- Employee may be required to perform the following
- Climb step ladders and extension ladders
- Work from a raised platform
- Climb stairs
- Operate tools properly and safely
- Operate high reaches, scissor lifts, fork-trucks, cranes, if properly trained.
- Pass pulmonary tests to wear respirator
- Employee may be required to use drills, welding equipment, saws, ladders, levels, wrenches, hammers, safety equipment, all tools in the requirements list, etc.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
