**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Coding Specialist to join our healthcare team. The Coding Specialist will be responsible for reviewing medical documentation, assigning appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations.
Coder will also be responsible for posting payments, EFT, patient payments, EOB's, and working denials.
**Duties:**
- Assign accurate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems.
- Review patient medical records to ensure documentation supports the codes assigned.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify information and ensure accurate coding.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in coding guidelines and regulations.
- Adhere to all coding and compliance guidelines.
**Requirements:**
- Proficiency in medical terminology, coding, and classification systems.
- Previous experience in medical coding, medical office, or medical records.
- Knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) systems.
- Certification in medical coding is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
