Established Private Practice Hearing Clinic has an opening for a dispensing audiologist or hearing instrument specialist to join our team in TN! Locations are Johnson City or Kingsport. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to assess patients' hearing.
- Conduct medical imaging tests to examine the structure and function of the auditory system.
- Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to accurately communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide counseling and education to patients regarding their hearing loss or balance issues and present recommendations for treatment based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in audiology technology and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Audiology or related field.
- Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist - TN License or ability to obtain.
- Certification as an Audiologist by the American Board of Audiology (ABA) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and anatomy.
- Experience in conducting diagnostic evaluations for hearing and balance disorders.
- Proficient in using medical imaging equipment for auditory assessments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and immittance testing
- Perform diagnostic tests to assess the nature and extent of hearing loss or balance disorders
- Interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Fit and dispense hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and other amplification systems
- Provide counseling to patients regarding hearing loss management, communication strategies, and hearing conservation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in audiology research and technology
Experience:
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Audiology; Doctorate degree preferred
- Current state licensure as an Audiologist
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to empathize and communicate effectively
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and interpretation of test results
- In-depth knowledge of auditory physiology and anatomy

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
