Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Manager to oversee our dining establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong background in food preparation and service management.
Responsibilities:
· Train employees in food service, sanitation, and safety procedures.
· Resolve guest complaints regarding service and/or food quality.
· Receive incoming phone calls, make reservations, and handle guest requests.
· Observe and evaluate employees to ensure quality standards of service and assist in completing reviews and disciplinary write-ups when necessary.
· Train, motivate, lead, and develop the Restaurant team.
· Responsible for stocking, ordering, and managing all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the restaurant.
· Maintain par levels and inventory of supplies and equipment within the department.
· Responsible for scheduling and Labor Management
· Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas by adhering to sanitary food handling practices.
· Ensure that employees consistently follow proper alcohol service guidelines.
Adhere to established cash control procedures and maintain an accurate cash bank
Requirements:
· Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
· Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
· Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
· Always conduct yourself professionally; is following grooming and appearance standards and sets standards for all employees.· 2 years supervisory experience in a hotel and/or equivalent experience in a full-service or fine dining restaurant.
· Knowledge of liquors and wines and can explain and recommend selections to guests.
· Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
· Knowledge of all menu items, beverages available, pricing and methods of preparation, with the ability to communicate specific beverages that will complement the meals (wine, cocktails, specific brand of alcohol, etc.)
· Knowledgeable of the Service Sequence Program.
· Working knowledge of computer software, to include HIS, Microsoft Office, etc.
· Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
· Must possess strong mathematical and computational ability.
· Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety and legal regulations.
· High school education and relevant training and experience with the ability to handle guest resolution preferred.
