Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and execute diverse training activities for Motorcoach Operators, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Conduct classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel, and testing, including onboarding, proficiency training, retraining and post-accident training
- Conduct vehicle and route training to ensure safe operations
- Perform road tests and maintain testing results for safety files
- Investigate accident/incidents, including assisting with police reports
- Assist in coordinating and ensuring compliance with the substance abuse testing program using Federal and Company standards.
- Provide comprehensive training on pre-trip and post-trip inspections, logging procedures, and DOT processes
- Coordinate and participate in driver safety education programs
- Conduct regular assessments of drivers' skills and proficiency
- Administer pre-employment road tests and behind-the-wheel training for identified Motorcoach Operators
- Coordinate live route training for new hires
- Maintain driver qualification files and monitor driver compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and assignments
- Operate company vehicles and motor coaches during training sessions to demonstrate safe driving techniques

Qualification:

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement, with air brakes required
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1-year experience supervising others
- Safety, Training, and DOT Regulation experience
*** Internal candidates must:
- Have a minimum of 6 months of employment with FCT
- Have an acceptable Safety Record
- Have an acceptable Performance Record
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Team member must be at least 25 years of age to satisfy insurance requirements
- Current medical card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (less than 30 days old)
- No DUIs within the last five years.
- No more than 2 tickets/ minor violations within the last 3 years OR
- No more than 3 tickets/ minor violations within the last 5 years.
- Pass a background check
- Pass a drug test as required by Ace Express Coaches, Inc.
COMPENSATION:
Hourly. Non-Exempt
$28.00 - $30.00 per/hour
