The Partial Hospitalization Program Counselor’s essential duties are to provide direct care under the supervision of a Program Coordinator, Attending Psychiatrist, or designee. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, activities of daily living and communication with referral sources and families.
Job Requirements
- 2-3 years experience working in Mental Health setting
- Bachelors in Psychology/Human Services, Counseling, Social Work required
- Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/ aggressive behavior. General hospital environment.
- Must be willing to work with children, and adolescents
- Experience working with Groups
- Demonstrates working knowledge of behavioral mental health, classroom management, and positive reinforcement
- Highly Developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
- Proficiency with common computer based applications such as electronic mail, word processing and various databases
Must be willing to travel to Chester County Facility!
