Job Description:
Extensive horticultural knowledge is crucial to this position. Professional horticulture experience must be shown on resumes or in cover letters in order to be considered.
The garden center manager will oversee the general operations of garden center, working closely with the owners and other members of our team. Primary responsibilities include supervising employees, customer service/sales, maintenance of plant material and ordering plant material.
Attention to detail, good communication skills and outgoing, friendly personality required. Knowledge/experience with growing annuals or landscape design experience a plus.
Other responsibilities:
Participate in weekly, monthly & annual strategic planning meetings.
Maintain fresh and creative retail displays.
Order and reserve plants & goods for landscaping jobs as needed.
Hire, train, coach & schedule garden center employees.
Manage operational expenses.
Troubleshoot problems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week
