Vice President of Key Accounts (Wine, Beer, Low Proof, Non-Alc.)
Senior Vice President of Sales Operations
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced leader to be our Vice President of Key Accounts for Wine, Beer, Low Proof Spirits, and Non-Alcoholics. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of strategic sales plans for our key national and regional accounts across all beverage categories. You will lead a team of Key Account Coordinators and cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Work with the Key Account Coordinators to develop and implement strategic sales plans for key accounts, aligning with company objectives and market trends.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at national and regional chain accounts.
- Lead and mentor a team of Key Account Coordinators, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure optimal performance and achieve sales goals.
- Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities, trends, and potential threats.
- Develop and execute innovative sales strategies and initiatives to differentiate our offerings and drive sales growth.
- Oversee the negotiation and secure favorable contracts with key accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships. (I.E. Supplier/Chain Programing)
- Manage and optimize the key account portfolio, identifying areas for growth and streamlining processes for efficiency.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional such as the Heidelberg Leadership Team, VPs of Sales Operations, VPs of Business Operations, VP of Beer, and Non-Alcoholics, VP of Wine and Low Proof, VP of Sales and Business Strategy, Supply Chain and Revenue Management to ensure seamless integration of supplier management activities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in sales and account management within the beverage industry, with a strong focus on wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholics.
- Proven record of accomplishment in developing and executing strategic sales plans for key accounts, resulting in significant revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Deep understanding of the beverage industry landscape, including distribution channels, pricing strategies, and consumer trends.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a high-performing sales team.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with all stakeholder levels.
