Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, food preparation, and staff management.
Duties:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and execute menu items
- Ensure food quality meets established standards
- Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef
- Assist in training new kitchen employees
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Contribute to menu planning and development
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field is a plus
