What to Expect
The Recycling Supervisor receives predetermined work assignments subject to moderate level of control and review.
Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies. Works on issues of limited scope. Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise daily operations and team of Recycling Specialists
- Manage scheduling for internal and external team members, ensuring collaboration across the Gigafactory
- Interpret basic architectural drawings and contribute to future expansion plans for the Recycling Team
- Maintain relationships with external vendors and negotiate commercial rates for scrap materials
- Foster positive working relationships, supporting the team in reaching common goals
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and company safety and security policies
- Perform various tasks, including reporting accidents, completing safety training, and running heavy equipment like cardboard bailers
What You’ll Bring
- 2-3 years (or more) of recycling, custodial, or grounds maintenance experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Effective verbal and written communications skills along with strong attention to detail, flexibility, and prioritization skills confidence in presenting to upper management and strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Commitment to excellence in quality work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong work ethic, follow-through skills, and a "can-do" attitude
