About This Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced PRN Pharmacist (Contractor) to join our wonderful team of motivated research professionals. Ideally, the right candidate has experience working with pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:
- Manages investigational product (IP) inventory (receiving, organizing, and monitoring the use of IP), record-keeping related to clinical trials as required by the study protocols, and monitoring the expiration date of IP inventory.
- Prepares oral, intravenous, intrathecal, or transdermal IP in accordance with established procedures and requirements for specific studies.
- Performs workload measurement support functions by reviewing daily workload and planning for timely execution of tasks with other pharmacy team members
- Performs quality improvement and quality assurance implementation as they relate to investigational products by assisting the team with internal audits on IP inventories, IP accountability logs, and resolving any discrepancies noted.
- Maintains proper functioning of equipment used to store, prepare, and monitoring IPs including temperature monitoring of refrigerators, freezers, and ambient IP cabinets as well as biological safety cabinets, laminar flow hoods, and thermometers
- Maintains and ensures IP preparation work areas are kept in a clean, organized, orderly, and presentable manner such that study supplies and materials are easily identified and located
- Participates in training/educational functions: assists research pharmacists in training of pharmacy staff on study procedures as they related to the IPs; maintains personal and professional development
- Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations
- Reviews and develops a familiarity with the protocol, e.g., study proceedings and timelines, inclusion and exclusion criteria, confidentiality, privacy protections.
- Completes training and reliability sessions and maintaining certifications required to administer study medications
- Timely communication with study team regarding scheduling and trouble-shooting
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion

Requirements:
- PharmD degree and current license for the State of North Carolina
- 2-3 year of experience working as a licensed Pharmacist
- 1-2 year working in a clinical trial setting preferred
- Please note that due to the immunocompromised nature of our patients, COVID and flu vaccinations are REQUIRED
- Detailed oriented
Job Type: PRN Contract
Pay: $70-90/hour
Schedule:
- PRN, variable hours, day shifts mostly weekday mornings/early afternoons
- Monday to Friday, no weekends, holidays are evenings
