Our role:
The Technical Consultant is responsible for providing analysis, design, delivery, oversight, and QA of the technical consulting for Objective solutions and for all technical aspects of Objective implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. They will cover sales support, high-level analysis, and QA for product installation, configuration, integration, customization, data migration, and troubleshooting.
This role reports to a Regional Services Director and does not have people management responsibilities.
A Day In Your Role:
- Leading and/or supporting Presales activities such as preparing product and solution demonstrations, presenting to prospects and customers, and creating proposals and estimates.
- Responsible for the technical components of all submitted proposals, including Technical Architecture, Data Migration Strategy, Solution Design, Customisation, and estimates.
- Lead the High-Level Analysis for the technical stream, facilitating workshops to confirm the technical solution and migration strategy and document the outcome in accordance with the methodology.
- Lead the technical stream of the project. Responsible for on-time, within-estimate delivery of all technical components of a project.
- Responsible for successful installation, testing and certification of the Objective software within the customer environment, according to the specified configuration, across all platforms and databases.
- Work closely with the project team to determine the required data migration, develop migration scripts, test the migration process, and execute the production migration, ensuring that all data is successfully migrated.
- Develop and unit test customisations, utilising the Objective SDK where appropriate, according to specification, to assist in ensuring the solution meets the customer's overall business requirements.
- Work with the project team to test the end-to-end solution and provide ongoing support during User Acceptance Testing and the go-live period.
Your Skills, Experience and Beyond:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of knowledge in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Advanced MS Word, Outlook)
- Experience in Database – Oracle and SQL Server.
- Understanding of operating systems - Windows and Unix (with a preference for Solaris)
- Hands-on experience in SQL, including one in PL/SQL or Transact/SQL.
- Good understanding of Programming Concepts - with a preference for Object Oriented.
- Demonstrated and strong capability in one or more of the following languages/technologies: C/C++, Java, VB 6, .Net (e.g. VB, C#)
- Prior experience in presales roles highly desirable.
