Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and service of heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires a strong background in mechanical and hydraulic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and vehicles, including diesel engines, hydraulics, and air brakes.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems and components, including circuit breakers and electrical panels.
- Utilize power tools and equipment to complete tasks, including wrenches, sockets, and impact wrenches.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and vehicles to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Work with service technicians to troubleshoot and repair equipment and vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Perform suspension and steering system repairs as needed.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems, including diesel engine repair and suspension systems.
Skills:
- Experience with heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and air brake systems.
- Proficiency with power tools and equipment.
- Experience with electrical systems and components.
- Service technician experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and skills.
- Ability to perform diesel engine repair.
- Experience with suspension systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.50 - $45.00 per hour
