We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to lead in the creation and implementation of control systems for automated and semi-automated machinery. This role is crucial for ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
- Design and specify control systems for a range of automated and semi-automated machines, aligning with project specifications, operational performance, and budgetary guidelines.
- Act as a technical resource for sales personnel, service technicians, quality assurance technicians, and provide field support to customers.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality issues, promoting continuous improvement.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, new components, and methods to enhance product designs.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites for system commissioning and support.
- Adhere to all housekeeping procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Lead and complete special projects as assigned, demonstrating initiative and commitment.
Qualifications/Education:
- BSEE or BSME degree (or related field), with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in creating 508A compliant wiring diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Extensive experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems, with a preference for knowledge in Rockwell automation platforms.
- A thorough understanding of the National Electric Code and UL 508A standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in team environments.
Benefits:
- Salary range: $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
