Job Title: IT End User Support Specialist

Introduction: Buchanan Technologies is seeking a dedicated IT End User Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This role is crucial in maintaining high levels of IT support and ensuring that all employees have reliable access to the technology they need to perform effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and empathetic help desk support for end-user software and hardware issues, as well as networking problems.
- Install, configure, and update end-user desktop and laptop software, ensuring seamless deployment and functionality.
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems, respond to issues, and handle troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
- Assist in managing security options and software in computers and networks to maintain privacy and protection from attacks.
- Conduct continuous system tests for security, performance, and availability.
- Document internal procedures and write user guides for end-users to reduce future requests for technical support.
- Develop and implement training materials and workshops for staff to improve skills and reduce support incidents.
- Collaborate with IT team members to enhance system performance and provide feedback on user interaction and issues.
- Participate in hardware and software evaluations and maintain vendor contracts.
Qualifications:
- 6 plus years in proven experience as a help desk technician
- 2 plus years as a senior Help Desk Analyst
- proven experience in dealing with outside IT vendors
- Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, customer-oriented approach.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
