Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and professional General Manager to lead our powersports dealership in Long Beach, CA. As the General Manager, you will set the tone for the entire dealership, fostering a positive culture and ensuring profitability. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $140,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid vacation, sick time, and more. Your role will be critical in maintaining high standards of quality, leadership, and judgment, while ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop annual sales forecasts, including vehicle sales, gross profits, and operating expenses.
- Monitor daily traffic logs and ensure adherence to sales processes.
- Maintain adequate staffing, recruit, hire, and train employees.
- Oversee all departments: Sales, Parts, Service, and Administrative.
- Ensure harmony and communication between departments.
- Achieve financial performance goals as outlined in the dealership budget.
- Conduct regular department and store meetings with written agendas.
- Hire management positions, conduct performance evaluations, and develop departmental goals.
- Monitor daily operations, recommending improvements as needed.
- Provide weekly financial reports to dealership management.
- Maintain relationships with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel.
- Oversee employee compensation plans and advertising programs.
- Manage vehicle inventory and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting new-vehicle sales.

- Required to maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and retaining customer satisfaction.
- Required to not only understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect their positions, but must also comply with these regulations.
- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
- Highly organized with ability to multi-task across multiple projects; excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
- Management personnel require strong, excellent verbal & communication skills to deal with customers, employees, and vendor.
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environment with multiple strict deadlines.
- Expert software skills including MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.
