Job Summary
- Receives referrals, coordinates and assigns all necessary disciplines and maintains an accurate census. Verifies that physician orders have been received, schedules services and discusses client status with appropriate concerned parties.
- Responsible for staffing and scheduling employees as directed by the RN. Communicates appropriately and is able to understand customer/client/employee needs, satisfactorily answers questions and maintains liaison and rapport with clients and employees.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Initiates and monitors referral process.
- Provides service information to the public.
- Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Determines certification dates for insurance cases, communicates to appropriate staff.
- Promotes effective customer relations that contribute to agency success.
- Contacts employees to coordinate and schedule client assignments.
- Contributes to agency success and a positive image through promotion of effective client relations.
- Performs assigned administrative duties to ensure clear communication and effective operation of the agency.
- Maintains supply closets for all supplies.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Home health experience is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detailed knowledge of home health reimbursement sources and criteria for coverage.
- Good organizational skills and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to meet minimum agency hiring standards.
- Experience in telephone related work, documentation and record keeping, and public relations skills.
- Ability to operate a personal computer, facsimile machine, copier, beeper equipment and telephone system, as applicable.
- Computer / word processing skills and experience desired.
- Essential physical, mental, and / or environmental working conditions.
- Spanish Speaking is a Plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
