Candidates Must Reside in One of the North East States in the US
Major Responsibilities:
- Prospecting; research, identify and contact potential new customers for Hub Group and close new business
- Continually conduct follow-up to solidify relationships and grow volume and margin with current customers
- Prepare and present value proposals, supply chain solutions and pricing to potential and current customers
- Responsible for maintaining company defined margins and improving yield and volume
- Liaison between customer and multiple internal Hub departments, e.g. Account Management, Onboarding, Marketing, Pricing, Credit/collections, Sales Analytics, etc.
- Daily logging in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, reporting and communication of sales meeting/prospecting activity to Regional Vice President of Sales
- Maintain an up-to-date online pipeline and meeting notes for Management review
- Social selling a plus, e.g. LinkedIn
- 80% of time should be spent in front of targeted potential and current customers and 20% of time should be spent in your home office
- Travel required 25%
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree preferred
- Major or significant coursework in logistics and supply chain management a plus
- 5-7 or more years' logistics sales experience with the ability to cultivate relationships with Senior and C-level Executives across Fortune 1000 companies
- Strong presentation skills to executive audience required
- Strong writing and verbal communication aptitude and proven ability to provide creative suggestions and vision relative to closing on targeted strategic accounts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Valid drivers license plus insurance required
