We are looking for a team-oriented Ortho dental assistant who will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. Ortho assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care, anticipate next step, take initiative and be able to make dental procedures as smooth as possible.
Must be Delaware x-ray certified.

Responsibilities
- Welcome customers in the dental office
- Be able to work in a fast -paced, team oriented environment with a hard worker team
- Wielding suction tools and passing instruments during treatment
- Changing out wires and brackets
- Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign
- Adjusting retainer fit
- Taking x-rays
- Providing at-home instructions for proper orthodontic care
- Preparing and taking patient molds
- Setting up, tracking, and monitoring patients’ payment plans for braces treatment
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Educate pts. with their current and next treatment planned.
