Title: Systems Administrator
Department: Information Technology
Status: Exempt (Salary)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm

SUMMARY:
Function: To assist with the management of all aspects of the department’s operations while strictly adhering to all established quality, health & safety, and environmental procedures as well as standard operating procedures and company policies.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent education and/or relevant professional experience is required. 2 years’ experience with VM Ware, Fortinet Firewall and Extreme Networking switches is required. Experience with O365 and Linus is preferred, but not required.
REQUIRED PERSONAL SKILLS:
1. Demonstrated leadership skills.
2. Ability to effectively communicate in English.
3. Proficiency in use of a high-level programming language is required.
4. Ability to complete clear analysis of network situations and offer recommendations of proper course of action.
5. Ability to effectively present complex information in group settings.
6. Have a stable, verifiable work history with an excellent attendance record.
7. Must be comfortable working within a chemical manufacturing environment.
8. Must be able to multitask and prioritize multiple tasks accordingly.
Duties:
1. Act as administrator of VM Ware environment including maintenance and patch upgrades.
2. Manages all Fortinet and Extreme applications including configuration of firewall policies and Extreme
Networks switch coding for switch configurations.
3. Installs, configures, supports, maintains, and troubleshoots Local Area Network (LAN), personal computer and related hardware/software and telecommunication-related systems.
4. Act as a Project Manager with a team of systems engineers or consultants (depending upon project
5. specifics).
6. Develop and maintain documents and records to ensure quality and efficiency.
7. Work with IT Manager to solve problems as soon as they are identified.
8. Assists in the preparation of reports, as directed by management team.
9. Perform monthly inventory of all physical servers and report maintenance plan on each physical hardware monthly.
10. Attend various management meetings as directed IT Manager.
11. Interpret, distill, and present complicated and/or technical information to employees, customers, and others in understandable and relatable terms to aid and enhance levels of understanding and implementation.
12. Use and operate a computer, office equipment and other technology devices frequently and consistently throughout each day with a high degree of skill, accuracy, and independent judgment for the purpose of reviewing, analyzing, creating, transmitting, and presenting documents, data, and other business-related information.
SUPERVISION:
Receives: General supervision given by Manager and above. Completed work is periodically reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and compliance within established guidelines.
Given: Assist in the supervision of the Computer Systems & Applications during day-to-day operations. Is responsible for verifying that work is completed accurately and is within established guidelines.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
